A reenactment of the battle for Olszynka Grochowska will be held in the Skaryszewski Park in Warsaw on February 25, at 15.00, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Polish January Insurrection.
Reenacting groups of the Napoleonic Era will meet at Grochów, Warsaw, for the second time. Last year's event, in which reenactors from Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Slovakia took part, had an audience of a few thousand people. It was also watched by representatives of state and local authorities and the army. The battle involved the use of explosives and cavalry was one of the main attractions. The reenactment was accompanied by music and commentary from historians, which made the event a very educational one.
Field Marshal Ivan Dybicz and General Józef Chłopicki's troops will meet again in the Skaryszewski Park this year, on February 25 at 15.00.
